INSTRUCTIONS: On the left-hand side, enter your known variable(s) (i.e. TIME & DISTANCE), then on the right-hand side click on the corresponding button to calculate the unknown or output variable(s). If you are calculating for PACE, SPEED, or DISTANCE, also select the Unit of Measure (i.e. per MILE, per KILOMETER, MPH, KPH etc.) in the drop-down selectors of the variable(s) you are calculating.
Example: You want to run a 4 hour marathon, what pace per mile must you run on average? Pace per kilommeter?
Answer: You have the TIME (4 hours) and DISTANCE (marathon or 26.2 miles) variables. Input 4 hr 0 min 0 sec in the TIME box, select Marathon in the DISTANCE box, and make sure 'per MILE' (or 'per KILOMETER') is selected in the PACE box. Then click the PACE & SPEED button (this will give you SPEED too, even if you are just wanting to know PACE). Output will be calculated in the PACE & SPEED boxes.
